This subfile includes invitations to Lord Beaverbrook to speak at various functions, a letter of thanks from R.B. Ingraham, a graduate scholar in Chemistry; and news of Maggie Jean Chestnut's death, Feb. 5, 1949. Beaverbrook soon afterward donated a women's residence to UNB in her name. She had been a member of the UNB Senate as well as managing director of the Chestnut Canoe Factory.
